Oases hotel pool lit up at night in Egypt, Africa.
We stayed at the Oasis hotel in Giza – just a few miles from the pyramids. It had a great Italian restaurant up a mountain of stairs.

A group of people walking down a street in front of a building at the ancient spice market in Egypt.
We’re right outside Khan el-Khalili, the largest market in Cairo. It was built in 1382 by the Emir Djaharks el-Khalili in Fatimid City. Perhaps, this vary market was involved in the spice monopoly controlled by the Mamluks, which encouraged the Europeans to search for new routes to the East and led Columbus, indirectly, to discover the Americas.

What trip to Egypt would be complete without a cruise on the Nile and entertainment by these dancers?
