Art Spark Texas

Art Spark Texas, formerly known as VSA of Texas, was our first sponsor of the Gene and Dave show. Now, my co-host Dave, is a Board Member of Art Spark Texas. Celia Hughes, the Executive Director, has been helping us out since the inception of our show in 2009. Art Spark Texas has been doing all the paperwork to keep us legal. They have helped a number of programs designed to help aspiring artists with disabilities. This past year Art Spark Texas gave out a number of awards. We (The Gene and Dave Show) received the inaugural Lynn Marie Johnson Media Arts Award. Lynn always liked the theater and anything that had to do with performance arts. Their presentation to us read, Art Spark Texas (formerly VSA Texas) has been a tremendous supporter of The Gene and Dave Show since its inception. With their help, Gene and Dave have been able to inform others about people with disabilities. Through the art form of accessible video, together they produce award-winning “infotainment”.
